Why VMCL?

VMCL Ltd has been providing training courses since 1993, and the company has been involved in the Drink-Drive Rehabilitation Scheme since its introduction. VMCL has adopted a policy of continual improvement to ensure that it delivers the highest quality courses and that the Scheme continues to reduce the drink driving re-offend rate.

Based in Swindon, VMCL Ltd provides training courses in over 150 locations. The company is dedicated to quality.  The implementation of accumulated skills and knowledge enables VMCL to provide effective assistance to participants of the Drink Drive Rehabilitation Scheme.

Quality Control

To maintain the highest levels of service and training, our processes have been formalised into a Quality Management System, which complies with the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001, the internationally recognised quality standard.  The accreditation applies to the delivery and updating of the course, recruitment, training, venue identification and monitoring, tutor performance and administration procedures.  Our success in achieving BS EN ISO 9001 accreditation for the Drink Drive Rehabilitation Scheme has resulted in VMCL being entered in the DTI Register of Quality Assured Suppliers.  VMCL were the first approved training provider to obtain ISO 9001 accreditation.

Obtaining certification to the requirements of international management standards is recognised as a benchmark for achieving business excellence and is a tried and tested way of improving company quality and performance.

BS EN ISO 9001 accreditation provides a wide range of benefits.  They include:

  • Providing an effective tool for controlling and improving business practices
  • Minimising risks by adherence to agreed procedures
  • Increasing customer confidence by seeking continual improvement
  • Regular examination by external auditors to maintain accreditation

In effect, ISO accreditation confirms to the Courts, offenders and others, that we can meet their needs and expectations.  In addition, our accreditation body is required to meet their own established international standards and are audited on a regular basis to ensure that these standards are maintained.

The recently introduced Calculator and Operations Manual are both products of the continual improvement process.
