| The
procedure for the operation of the Rehabilitation Scheme is set out in
sections 34A to 34C of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. To assist those involved with the Scheme, or who come
into contact with drink drive offenders, the Department for Transport (DfT)
has produced a comprehensive set of guidelines. | |
| The
guidelines identify good practice for course organisers and seek to
promote consistent procedures in Courts in England, Wales and
Scotland. They have been issued by the DfT in conjunction with the
National Assembly for Wales and the Scottish Executive. | |
