This section of the Web site contains essential information about the Scheme, such as booking arrangements, fees and the content of the Drink Drive Rehabilitation Course. A list of towns where we conduct training is also included. Our
administration procedures have been designed to meet the stringent
requirements or our BS EN ISO 9001 accreditation. All our systems
are therefore regularly monitored by external auditors to help ensure we
provide you with the best possible service. |
| Booking Arrangements |
|
After your course has been arranged, we will send you a confirmation letter showing the times and dates of your training, plus the full address of the training venue and a map. At the bottom of the letter is a 'tear off' slip for you to complete and return to our office confirming your ability to attend. Your deposit or full payment should be included with the slip. A postage paid envelope will be provided for this purpose. You are strongly advised to book your course as soon as possible after we first contact you. Our courses are conducted over 3 or 4 weeks and they fill very quickly. If you leave your booking until 6 or 7 weeks before your completion date, you may well find that the courses in your area are all full and you have to travel further than normal to complete your training. You should note that under the terms of the
legislation governing the Scheme, we are not permitted to train you beyond your completion date set by the Court. |
| Payment Our course fee starts at just £130 if you book your place within two months of your Court date. If you book after two months, the fee rises to £150 to cover the increased administration costs. Hardship cases will be considered for a discount. Payment can be made by cash, postal order, cheque or credit/debit card, either in full or by instalment plan. There are no additions to the fee if you choose to pay by instalments. Our flexible approach to the course payment reflects our understanding that people referred to training have been through a traumatic and expensive time, some having lost their jobs as a result of being disqualified from driving. The terms and conditions for payment of the course are laid down in the Act of Parliament governing the Scheme - The Road Traffic Act 1991. This states quite clearly that to obtain a Completion Certificate and qualify for a reduction in your period of disqualification, you must finish your training before the completion date set by the Court and full payment must be made before the course starts. It is important to understand that we are unable to operate outside these rules and we are required to adhere to them at all times. |
